The Accident

Israel and Cori Hale

Israel and Cori Hale had been married only six months when the accident happened.

Israel Hale, a 25 year old Palmer resident who has worked in the construction field here in the valley as well as owning Sunrise Shearing,  was in a serious accident on Sunday, September 9 in Anchorage. While dealing with a broken-down trailer on Dimond Street a car smashed into him. He was hit and both of his legs were instantly broken at the knees. A miraculous incident took place at that moment as a trauma nurse was driving by and being alerted to the serious nature of the scene saw that Israel only had a few minutes to live. She immediately instructed the application of two tourniquets which saved Israel from bleeding to death. He is now in Providence Hospital in Anchorage and has had both of his legs amputated.

We have set up a fund to help Israel, our friend and brother, as he has a lot of bills and a house which is only halfway built which he was hoping to have done by this winter. If you are interested in helping, you can donate at any Wells Fargo bank. There is the “Friends of Israel Hale” account set up there and can be accessed at any Wells Fargo bank in the nation.

There are four ways you can donate:

  1. Go to the bank and personally ask to donate into the “Friends of Israel Hale” account.
  2. You may mail a check made out to “Friends of Israel Hale, Account 7349099411” and mail it to any Wells Fargo Bank, or to Wells Fargo Bank, 301 W. Northern Lights, Anchorage, AK 99503.
