October 14th, Sunday Evening, 9:30 PM Our Thanks to You!

Five weeks ago today was the wreck that took both of Israel’s legs!!!

With progress there comes setbacks also. Israel has gotten the stomach flu today so he has been “laying pretty low”. He has also had some extreme shoulder pain which has shown up now that the terrible pain he was experiencing in his legs has receded. He is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow to check out the pain, which seems to be from the impact of the crash. Please pray for this MRI, as Israel’s body seems very sensitive to the magnetic pulses involved in it, & it has caused him some apprehension.

It is  encouraging now that Israel has  been fitted with what they call “shrinker socks” to start the process of shaping his legs for prosthetics. These socks have also helped Israel’s pain to lessen!

Thank you for checking in & caring about the progress Israel is making!

Back here in Alaska there are a lot of encouraging things that God is doing on behalf of Israel and Cori regarding their house. Progress has been taken this past week through the many kind efforts of men who have given their time to help put this house together for Israel and Cori’s future. Plumbing work was started last Saturday. A couple professional concrete men helped pour concrete on Friday which did an incredible job on the garage pad for Israel and Cori , working late into the evening finishing it. Saturday, the 13th, 4 plus men , all electricians, came and worked all day installing the electrical parts for the house . It has been a real blessing to see how God has put together so many people to help with the project and to keep it moving along so smoothly.

We would like to thank :

Valley Block and Concrete for their help and support

Brown’s Electric for their support

Lowes for their help in reducing costs to make them affordable

Bull’s Eye Electric for their help with the installation

Hard Rock Plumbing for their help with the installation of plumbing

The well drillers for their help with the well

We also want to thank our church family at Manna Baptist church for all of their prayers, loving concern, and physical help for Israel and Cori.

Most of all we want to thank the Lord for each one of you who have helped in this situation for donating money , supplies , and support  in this time.

We pray God’s blessing on each of you for giving one of His children a “cup of cold water” in their need.

  1. Israel and Cori you have both been such an inspiration of how God works in our lives. You continued faith and belief in the Lord is truly one of the greatest testimonies I have seen. My prayers are with you both always. Continue to press in to His word. Thank you for being such an amazing testimony for our Lord and Savior.

  2. Here is an encouragement for you that came to me this weekend . (Jeremiah 29:11)For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

  3. I’m putting you on our prayer chain at Pioneer Peak Baptist Church, Israel. We keep you in prayer anyway, but now with the flu and new pain, we will be evermore vigilent. Cori, you take good care of yourself as well, you are much needed, as if you didn’t know THAT! The Smayda’s got home safely and want to help with the house anyway they can. Keep looking to Jesus and don’t look back. He will sustain you. He will provide your every need. In Christ, Cathy

  4. Good morning Israel and Cori,
What a blessing to see God providing for your future through the loving efforts of people who care for you. Your smiles are such a blessing-and how good to see you eat ‘double portion’ burgers!!! We will be praying for your flu-yuk! The Osbornes
