October 10th, Wednesday Evening, 9:30 PM Hospital Residency Remains!

Israel continues to be a “resident” at Harborview Medical center in Seattle. The doctors are still trying to get his pain to a level where Israel can sit up more than he does( 5-10 min. stretches).

There seems to be a tingling pain at the sight of his last epidural, which gave us some concern, so he got an MRI last night to rule out any infection at the sight. The results came back as no infection!!! Praise The Lord!

His heart rate has slowed, but continues at a faster rate than normal.

We continue to wait on God’s timing for Israel to return home. His pain needs to be better controlled & Israel can only be flown on a stretcher, as sitting up is still too much for his body to handle.

With these two things needing to be dealt with, it is postponing his coming home.

Having said all that though, Israel is in good spirits & is a daily testimony of a man trusting God as being in complete control!

“He was being a “ham” at dinner time” said Cori, “when a double portion was requested on his menu & two hamburgers were brought to him! His appetite has gotten better, for which we are thankful!

” Thank you to each of you for your care & interest in our challenges & progress, as we walk through this trying experience of life.”

Here is a thought for today: ” But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. ”

  1. We are so thankful for the returning appetite! A portion of scripture we would like to bless you with today is Isaiah chapter 12. Truly great is the Holy of of Israel in the midst of you!!

  2. Wow, Israel! Did you eat all that food? Looks yummy. And those huge hamburgs look like Burger King Whoppers. I guess you are getting some good hospital food. Praying it will get your strength built up soon. Trust the pain is much relieved by now. May His grace be sufficent as He continues to bless & keep you in His care.

  3. Hello Israel,
I am praying for your recovery, and hope the Lord will take away the pain you are feeling. Good job hanging on. I hope you can come back to Alaska soon.
    Sincerely,
    Lydia
