September 28, Friday Evening 10:31 PM Israel’s Smile!

Yes, it’s very good to see a smile on Israel’s face; this picture was taken just after a long refreshing shower he took today!

God has definitely given both of us His extra grace as we’ve been walking through this traumatic Change in our lives.

Israel is still experiencing some pain, though on a lesser degree than he has. He asks for continued prayer that his heart rate would return to its normal pace. Every day he feels like a little more is healing. A nurse commented today that the progress he is making in healing & movement is not the norm so soon after injury & surgery. Well, we know the Great Physician, & He does Wonderful work!!!

We thank each of you for ” standing next to us” through all your kind thoughts, prayers, & gifts.

May The Lord bless each of you,

Israel & Cori

Here is a thought for this day. It is a good reminder that someone posted today about the wildernesses in our life and how God’s  faithfulness is present.

My Lord knows the way through the wilderness,
All I have to do is follow.
My Lord knows the way through the wilderness,
All I have to do is follow.
Strength for today is mine all the way,
And all that I need for tomorrow.
My Lord knows the way through,
All I have to do is follow.

  1. Greetings Israel & Cori,
Israel, it is good to see a smile. Surely the Lord Jesus has made you smile in the midst of all your pain & suffering. God is so good to all of us. He has a marvelous purpose for you and Cori.

  2. It is so good to hear of the fast healing! David has been sharing about Israel with others to pray and we took some of our friends to see your blog page. We’re so blessed by the joy of the Lord that is so evident in your lives we have to share it with others!

  3. Israel and Cori, I think of you all the time and pray for your time in healing, your pain Israel has got to be so so intense, I am So sorry every time I think of you, your spirit is so big, your love for God is even bigger yet, your loving bond with Cori is beautifully enormous, and your smile is so wonderful to be able to see. I give you praise for all your challenges and trials. Cori you have such a beautiful sole , you have shown the world what a devoted wife is, I cherish you both! I do not know if you remember me, my name is Michelle, I too was in Seattle receiving treatment ,and had a surgery there at the Virginia Mason Hospital for 28 days and was leaving about the time you came down. My sister whom I hadn’t seen for 25 yrs. came and picked up my husband and I to stay with her and her family about a day or two after your arrival. I wanted so bad to go over and see you all but decided it would be too early at that point. She and her family pray for you too as I told them about the accident, We will have to meet someday here in Alaska, Now Israel I want you to know you have been such a huge inspiration for me when I am dealing with my own pain, I have chronic pain syndrome, fibro myalgia, peripheral neuropathy, and other painfull issues, I am always in pain,. I wonder if the doctors have told you that ” PAIN IS ONLY IN YOUR HEAD”??? Well this is true and I will explain it if you ask me to, or a doctor can. When I feel pain I think of you Israel, this is my way to feel fortunate as you are in much much worse pain. I could not imagine having gone through the accident, the pain, the surgeries, the pain, and horrible pain. God spared your life, he sent angels. And you are here with us today, AMAZING !!! When I am dealing with my own pain ,I pray for you and your pain, to find the control for it, to help you through this time of intense pain.
    Love and prayers, Michelle

  4. I am praying for you. It’s so good to see things are gong good for you! I live in Temperance Michigan and I go to church with John Bailey’s parents. God sends us down some pretty strange paths but it’s so helpful to know He’s walked these pats before He askes us to.

  5. FANTASTIC!!!! Don’t the docs and nurses know that you have a higher healing power???? Besides, you younguns live a natural life and are physically active. And your determination is wonderful… LOVE the big smile and to see the bandages off and the healing is great. Brought tears to our eyes to see such healing. You continue to always be in our prayers. Margie and Edward

  6. It’s a miracle how fast Israel is healing! You are always in our thoughts and prayers. It’s amazing what prayers can do! Love, Scott and Holly

  7. Hi Cori and Israel: Praise God for His mercies and loving kindness! He has answered so many prayers for you both. Just a little note from home…it snowed overnight and the mtns. are white and glorious. We are keeping you in prayer at Pioneer Pk Baptist Church at the Butte and keeping up with your progress at Animal Food Warehouse also. God has provided so many opportunities to witness His saving grace through this to others. Thank you for your steadfastness of character as followers of Christ. Can’t wait to see you home. Continuing in prayer for you both, what a rock you have in Cori, Israel! Cathy Croghan

  8. Dear Israel and Cori,
It is such a blessing and an encouragement to see our Lord carrying you through such trials. Truly HIS incredible grace is infinitely powerful in the face of such trials, as you are showing! Your smiles and testimony are such an inspiration, and give us all such opportunity to share Christ with others who are not filled with the joy only Christ can give!!! May Gods peace fill you both with the full knowledge that HE is intimately involved with your lives, and lovingly caring for all your needs-both now and in eternity! Truly “The God of all comfort” 2 Cor 1:3, is “A man acquainted with grief” Is 53:3. and knows our sorrows. With this knowledge, may “the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” Rom 15:13
    All our love-The Osbornes
