September 24, Monday Evening 9:30 PM Israel’s Day

The healing process is definitely slow! Today Israel mostly stayed in bed and was very tired. He met with the surgeon today who said that he was pleased with the healing process of Israel’s legs. The pain is still pretty intense at times and they are still trying to figure how to keep his heart rate under control. Please continue to pray for them as the reality of this new life begins to set in for Israel and Cori .

The need for a place to keep the horses has been met. A big “thank you ” to all that offered.  One more need that could be met through you all would be to find a inexpensive four-wheeler that he could get around his property on. Note: It has to be one that is able to be operated by the handlebars mostly. This would be such a wonderful blessing if someone could come up with one at a reasonable price. Here is a thought for this wonderful day God has made.

Even with the pain and reality of the uncertain future we can trust the words of Romans 8:28 _ ” And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ” This allows us to trust that God will even work all these things for Israel’s good and to glorify Himself.

  1. I’m sure Israel and Cori feel his healing is slow and cumbersome, but….my, what progress, what changes, what a mighty work God has done, and is doing in him/ them. It is an amazing journey that has been set in motion. Trusting the Lord will continue to meet needs, give comfort and rest, and restore Israel’s health to the Lord’s honor and glory. I am a retired nurse, and keep imagining the many hospital staff members that have been touched and influenced by the godly testimony that Israel and Cori have displayed. They’ll never know the full extent of that ministry of the Spirit through them this side of Glory. May the Lord continue to work in them and through them for His honor and glory.

  2. We are continuing to pray for you! God often brings you to my thoughts in the evening when I know the pain can get in the way of sleep and I pray for you. Keep up your faith in God, He is Faithful! In His arms there is strength to hold you grace to sustain you and love to carry you through!

  3. May the Lord bless and encourage you today! “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Ps. 30:5b How long the nights can be, what a dear Father to give us the promise of morning. We are praying for you today!

  4. As you begin this very unexpected journey which no one chooses to take,I truly believe that God will bring glory through this. Someone needs to hear the hear precious story of salvation, and will use your family to do it.

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?
    Refrain:
Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares,
    His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
    I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?
    much love-
    Rhoda Stoltzfus
